- Usage:
- Login to river-fe.cs.uchicago.edu
- CPU: 24 cores in total (2 x Intel Xeon E2650 v3 processors, 12 core, 2.3GHz, 30MB cache for each processor)
- DRAM: 512GB total (16 x 32GB TruDDR4 Memory 2133MHz)
- Disks: 96 TB total (8 x 6TB 7.2K 6Gbps HDD + 12 x 4TB 7.2K HDD)
- Network: one 10 GigE Ethernet NIC + one 1GigE Ethernet NIC
VM Cluster for Batch Jobs
- Usage:
- Login to river-fe
- Use Slurm commands to submit batch jobs
- See Slurm's User Guide to learn how to submit and manage jobs
- Number of VM's: 120
- Each pair of VM's share a hardware node with two Intel Xeon E2650 v3 processors (24 cores), 16 x 16GB TruDDR4 Memory (256GB), two 800GB SATA MLC SSD's (1.6TB), and a 10GigE network
VM's for Interactive/Timesharing Jobs
- Usage:
- Login to river-fe
- Login to one of rivervm-[1-24]
- Number of VM's: up to 48, currently 24.
- Each twelve VM's share a hardware node with two Intel Xeon E2650 v3 processors (24 cores), 16 x 16GB TruDDR4 Memory (256GB), two 800GB SATA MLC SSD's (1.6TB) and a 10GigE network
